Yoga might be a good way to incorporate more strength-building exercise into your regime without aggravating your heel, foot, knee &amp; back pain. There are lots of great DVDs out there (even on Netflix!) that you can do after the kids are asleep or while they&#039;re otherwise occupied. 

Yoga was a great gateway exercise for me, and helped me with some of my own chronic back pain to the point that I felt strong enough to take up biking and running.

		<description>Thank you so much for sharing this. I know I need to be up and around more. I can&#039;t imagine all the running though with my heel, feet, knees &amp; back pain. I do know I felt better before when I had more sleep, was at least stretching every day, and drinking mostly water. My birthday is Monday, maybe that&#039;s a good day to start back into good habits.</description>

		<description>Zen Habits says that you need to do something for about a month (I think he says 28 days) to make it a habit. It took a LOT longer than a month for me to get to the point where I&#039;d say I&#039;ve completely incorporated it into my life, and I still have to make it through the winter (I&#039;m such a fair-weather runner!). 

And I agree, when you&#039;re depressed it&#039;s really hard to get up in the morning, let alone get up before dawn to run. So having a running buddy is important!</description>
