We got home last night from a much-needed trip to Florida to play in the Gulf and visit with my family. It was incredible and made all the more amazing by the fact that I spent a full week without getting on email and that Matt actually took the whole week off with the exception of a few brief calls one morning (a first in recent history, in case you were wondering!). In fact, other than getting on recipezaar to look up a granola recipe, I had an Internet-free week for the first time in years.
As much as I love blogging and as much as I rely on the Internet for news, I have to admit that I didn’t miss it! I did log on Saturday morning (a full week and a day after the last time I checked email) and cleared the junk mail out of the 580 emails in my inbox so that I wouldn’t be too stressed out this morning and I’m glad I did.
Anyhow, there are pictures from the trip on the Photos tab as usual (and, as usual, we have Matt to thank for being so prompt with that!). We had a blast and the kids were great. Unsurprisingly, Gabriel, my little water baby, loved the pool and the beach and even rain on the beach didn’t seem to bother him one bit.
I have plenty to blog about, but it will probably take me a few days to get caught up, unpacked, etc. More soon!
