I’ve been meaning to post for about a month on my latest babycarrier–a Babyhawk Mei Tai–purchased from our local carrier goddess, Karen at Eesti Slings. Lily loves it and goes to sleep in an instant. Even Gabriel seems to enjoy a ride on Mommy’s back from time to time, especially when he’s worn out from running in the Denver Botanic Garden!!
Anyhow, if you’re in the market for a versatile, easy carrier that looks great and is easy to use, a Babyhawk may fit the bill!

Julie,
I am SOOOO glad you are loving your Babyhawk! I love them too! I can carry my 32lb 2yr old in it for as long as she will let me!
See you soon!

Ah ha! I finally dug far enough into the Babyhawk web site to find the weight limit–40 pounds or until you are no longer able to comfortably carry your child. As I mentioned, Gabriel is about 30 pounds and I carried him all over the Botanic Gardens last weekend with no problem (and for those of you who do not know me, I’m 5’4″, so I’m not a big person!). I felt like the Babyhawk was even better balanced and more comfortable than our high-end backpack!!

Lily looks so cute and comfy in there!
I think the weight limit on all of these is arbitrarily 35lbs, but I’ve seen people carry 5yos in them. I bet the Babyhawk website has more info

I’ve been wearing Gabriel, who is 30 pounds. Not sure what the actual weight limit is, but it’s very sturdy so I’m guessing your back would bother you before you hit the weight limit on this one…

Thanks for the info…it looks comfy- do you think there is a weight limit on it- C. is getting so heavy, and I’m having a hard time finding something that doesn’t hurt after a few minutes- LOVE the moby, but he wiggles around too much now, and works himself out of it.
